Balzac Republic from Military concerns from CPR and Yer Bouti has applied to be a member of the .... Commonwealth of Chrisdom. We will remain a member for the Northern Europe defense with Finland, Norway, Sweden and CPR. Because CPR is a member and had they attacked Balzac Republic, the other three nations would not be obligated to help defend BR.

Mr. Ambassador (ROD), what is you take on the Imperial Naval activity? I think it is or can be a serious threat. We do not sortie our carriers like that because of reliability and cost issues. Usually we have a task force with the smaller carriers. What were you expecting from the Imperial naval group? What do you think will happen going forward?chrisswim wrote:The Balzac Defense Minister inviting the ROD Ambassador for dinner to discuss 1- the conflict in zone of Bay of Bengal, 2- Imperial Naval activity and threat, 3- Canada naval task force, 4- threat of Russian Federation to PROC and/or Balzac, others.
2. What is your assessment of the Canadian naval group as is deployed now? What do you expect with their carriers coming back online? Have not seen them in a few months.
Is it that they are trying to have some influence somewhere?
3. Is the threat to PROC serious, credible? What should the response be if Russian Fed troops do attack? How much aid does one provide to PROC?

The ROD is treating the Imperial aircraft carriers as a very serious threat. Not just to the ROD, but to the stability of Asia and the Pacific. After some aggressive behavior in the Indian Ocean, both carriers departed for a base in the Pacific, which we believe to be their home port. We do know that the Empire has other aircraft carriers under construction at this time, but we are unable to determine how far along inn the building process or how many ships are under construction.
It appears that there has been some political drama in the Empire's Central Committee, but we cannot determine if there has been a change of leadership or not. This uncertainty carries over to the Imperial military. Some senior members of the Committee are quite hawkish and are eager for another fight with the ROD. If this faction of the Committee gains control then we can expect to see more aggression and possibly open hostility from Imperial Forces. Earlier this year when the Empire and ROD went to war, ROD carrier aircraft caused much damage to Imperial units. We believe that this is a factor in the Empire's push to create a large carrier fleet.
We have worked with Canadian Navy ships in the past and they are very good. We have a healthy respect for their gunnery skills, but they do not have much of a carrier force yet. They have at least two light carriers in progress that can carry a significant punch with modern aircraft.
Our assessment of Russia is that they are a credible threat to the PROC. In light of their attacks and seizure of Ukrainian ships yesterday, it appears that Russia not only has the means to wreak havoc in the area, but they also have the willingness to do so.

Thank you Mr. Ambassador (ROD) for your time and wisdom into the situations around the globe. Accurate as usual, Russian Federation is a high level threat to PROC.
2. Imperial forces are a threat to the others in the world. Since your country, ROD, had conflict with the Imperial Empire, you probably had more knowledge of their capabilities. Probably the best source for an accurate SWOT evaluation (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats). I know when their task force sortied to Malta, the Commonwealth had grave concerns. We were not sure if they were planning to do anything to Malta or continue the western direction and what their plans were.
3. Glad your relationship with Canada is good, real good. Even with the new leadership, they seem a bit difficult. Know that various elements the comprise Canada have been strong supporters and contributors for the UIN. So they do want to continue to be on the world stage. Maybe they may deploy contemporary frigates and destroyers with missile capability. They would add a dimension to UIN and global operations.

Concerned with PROC, are they going to invade or be invaded by Russia, the Evil Empire?
The North Euro Alliance we need to keep our guard up.
Drone recon flights along the boarder and fly along the 12 mile territorial limit as the drones looking in to PROC.
.
Balzac has announced that it is building to more ships similar to the MV Horton that was sold to Yer Bouti, later renamed. It is configured as a Ro/Ro, auto-transport. The supports and survivibility improvements will be included in the two ships for the Commonwealth. These two ships have high speed, expensive to operate because of speed and the fuel, sometimes using high octane aviation fuel.
Balzac is also building a dozen more Visby patrol, ASW, AAW craft for delevery in the coming months.

You all may soon find out that power politics, diplomatic intimidation and maneuvering, and trash talk, are not nearly as harmful to your populations and expensive equipment as open warfare. Make it more interesting... When you suffer a loss, you actually have to melt it down into a lump of slag, videotaping from start to finish. Or you have to send the pieces to your opponent. Or war game without them for a while year.
All blessings flow from a good mission statement.

Balzac Republic proposes a UIN resolution condemning the aggressive nature of China. Greenland seconds the resolution. Iceland in support along with Tunisadom, Malidom. As discussion, moved quickly to Security Council. Would have passed, except China Veto the resolution.
. Malidom proposing the African Council condemnation of China with support of members of the council in Africa.
