The problem with these kinds of lists is that they rarely, if ever, correspond to overall sales. Those most likely to vote are obviously devoted fans. But pleasing a tiny core group may not be great business.

I know I see lots of stuff on the "I'd Like to See" list that I'd never buy - because I'm a gamer and only need the models that end up in battle. I might buy something as an objective, or for a very unusual scenario. But if it doesn't routinely end up in battle, I've got other things to spend money on. Especially since you have to buy multiples.

I do not, for example, own a single ambulance. Ditto many support vehicles such as fuel trucks. I know a few guys buy all that, but heck, I see a lot of collections where they don;t even have infantry, much less "tail" items.

I have spoken to many manufacturers who proposed making X to great acclaim and excitement and sold....none.

If you really want to do something like this make it a kickstarter where people have to put up more than a post on a thread proclaiming "I'd buy 50!"

Money talks, posting walks.

I like the idea of Ghq letting us prioritize their future releases. I suspect the decision for new sculpts is a calculated business move. And some of those lists we make do have really obscure items, ones probably best produced on shapeways.
