I updated my cache of pictures of 1/2400 modern naval miniatures. I tried to note who created which image, but I am not done with that task. You can find them at:

Impressive collection. Looks like you and AV8 need to do some modern naval.

Thanks, though my collection of ships is considerably smaller.

There is a dearth of pictures of so many 1/2400 (modern) miniatures. Hopefully, my cache of pictures I found on the web will improve the demand for them. Many of them are little marvels.

I am game and we aren't that far. Though I am sure his skills are significantly better than mine.

Keep the inspiration but note that as he has been saying these are not all his ships, they are mostly pictures he has found online.

Thanks for sharing. It's a shame that many vendors (except GHQ) do not put on any pictures along with their online product list. Yours serve as great references for us to know what we are getting from our orders. Keep up the good work! :D

Does anyone have a picture of Viking Forge's E S S E X class with angled deck? If there is a picture on their website my browser doesn't show it. It is a SeaBattle casting and VF versions are better than the SeaBattle casts imported from Europe. I have one but I can't remember if it is VF or SeaBattle. Quality is okay but I was hoping for better.

I think you are looking for the Oriskany, av8rmongo, which was an Essx class according to Wikipedia. They are at:

Here is one of the images:

I should probably rename the images.

Thanks, I looked through your cache first but didn't clue in to the Oriskany. The casting looks just like mine but I was hoping for a cleaner one. Viking Forge produces SeaBattle castings in the U.S., I think from remastered molds. The catalog items that start with "SB" are SeaBattle items.

Do you know if this is a picture of a Viking Forge cast ship or a SeaBattle cast ship. I assume it is a Viking Forge casting, it matches mine and I stopped ordering from SeaBattle via ALNAVCO when the quality took a nose dive but the prices skyrocketed.

Now if GHQ would just make some early cold war aircraft...

I got this picture off of ebay, and the entry said that it was a Viking Forge miniature. Based on the sale price and the price of Sea Battle miniatures, I am fairly certain it was from Viking Forge.

Hi. I sent you a Personal Message (PM) asking how I can contribute pictures to your 1/2400 scale ship database.

Please let me know since I have many reference photos of various models that I would be happy to share.

Thanks!

Thanks, ww2navyguy, I would love to host your pictures. I sent you a PM.

For anyone else, if your pictures are up somewhere on the web, just PM/email me the links and I will get them. If that doesn't work, email is also a possibility.

You can find my contact info at https://whenimaginationfails.org/.

Updated the collection. Added more attribution information, and more pictures, some of which that were shown here, and others not. Have photographs of nearly all of another vendor's offerings. Just looking for a good picture of that vendor's Soviet helicopter carrier Moskva.

You can find a selection of photographs, or the whole collection. Some of the pictures that likely haven't been posted here are:
