The Impact of Brexit (2nd or 3rd order effect)

What a strange, strange world we live in. The British Pound has tanked. I just placed an order for six packs of Figurehead 1/6000 modern ships from a UK supplier. The same order from a US supplier in Wisconsin would have cost me 28% more, assuming the PayPal currency conversion is accurate. Basically I got one item free and free shipping by ordering overseas. Naturally, there is a delivery time opportunity cost that comes into play but I'm not in a hurry.
I know the Wisconsin supplier uses a local caster to produce these minis in the U.S. I'm not sure if the UK supplier has a local caster or if they receive them from the U.S. I prefer to buy locally, in this case stateside, when I can but how can the prices be so different? Especially if the UK supplier has to order them from the U.S. then turn around and ship them back.
Anyway, if you're into this scale look to the UK for bargain prices.
