Very cool looking!
Where did you get the buildings if I may ask? Im getting to that point where I have enough buildings to hurt myself... but if I get critical, you can break them out to the different regions of the war and some areas are bare again.

The bridges are Baccus/Timecast. There are two metal houses from GHQ. The walled farm is from my own 6mm range "Simply 6." The rest I bought from a guy on TMP who goes by the handle "Irish Serb." Just google Irish Serb Miniatures. These are his 6mm Normandy set (x2). But he's not taking orders just now.

Another little update on my Normandy village. The walls have been done. You can see I'm tracking which building got which wall base color by keeping them in rows. The 5 paint base colors are all in the same greyish-greenish-brownish family. I'll use the same colors to dry brush the walls. It will, I hope, give me a nice balance between all the buildings looking similar - same stone but from different times and different parts of the quarry - but also being different - lighter, darker, greener, browner. Same for the three bridges. The four other buildings will be brick and wood, and one house has been painted blue. I plan to do all the dry brushing tonight: roofs and walls. Then tomorrow I just add the details: doors, window trim, detailing around the chimneys etc. I'm also planning to glue on some clump foliage for climbing ivy etc.

Mark, what colors are you using for the roof?

Three colors, both from Coat d'Arms:
Iron Gray, Tank Blue Gray and Field Blue.
half are base coated in Iron and dry brushed with Tank. The other half are base coated in Tank and dry brushed in Field blue.

I took nice close ups of each of the buildings this morning. You can see them here:

Just looked at your flicker photos Mark, those are very finely detailed buildings and you really did them justice.

I like the shrubbery and tree. Will have to borrow that for some of my houses when I get to painting them.
