Regarding the sale of miniatures

Hi guys,

In the last few months we have allowed a couple post threads that have had collections of unpainted GHQ miniatures being sold for less than the MSRP. Many years ago we said that it was OK for forum users to post painted miniatures. At the time there were some people who were professional painters who asked if it would be OK for them to post their services, and some of their finished work. Over time this has evolved into some people "yard saling" unpainted GHQ miniatures, sometimes at very low prices.

"Yard saling" unpainted miniatures on the website that we pay for, and are selling those same miniatures, doesn't work for us. We would like to respectfully request that posts of this nature stop. We will be taking down any posts like those. As always, we are more than happy to have painting services, or individuals, post their miniatures here for the added value that their work deserves. We are sure that you can understand our point of view that selling GHQ miniatures for less than the MSRP on the website that GHQ pays for has pushed us into this decision.

Thank you for your support,
GHQ

I actually can't believe that it has taken this long to have GHQ say something. I have always thought that it was pretty cheeky of people to post things, especially unopened packs, at fire sale prices on the GHQ website. I can't think of any other websites that would have allowed those types of post at all. I think that they have been more than fair.

Thanks for having and maintaining this forum!

First, I freely acknowledge that this is GHQ's sandbox and GHQ is entitled to set the rules for those who play in it and I will certainly abide by them.

Does GHQ object to my soliciting out-of-production models such as the M60A2 and the earlier-model M551? It's the only way I can get them anymore and cost usually is the current $11.95 for five.

I would be happy to purchase M60A2s from GHQ in the future should they go back in production.

As one of the offenders, I can't believe the thought never entered my head.

Feel free to nuke my post....
