Read an article that said Germany is re-activating and upgrading some of their Leopard IIs, which will bring their active Armor establishment to 328 tanks. That's roughly equivalent to ONE US armored division's tanks.

Does anybody have any more info on this, verify or correct?

I read same or similar themed article. Pulling Leopard 2s out of storage, providing extensive upgrade to the Leopard 2A6 standard. The article I read indicated that they military spending will increase with that to the level as prescribe by the NATO agreement.

It's an old news. It is already about 2 years ago.
By the ukraine crisis the number is increased to 328 leopard 2.

I'd say a lot worse than ours. Three hundred and twenty tanks is a shadow of what they once had.

Germany is only a vassal from the US and I think that the dismantling of the tanks was commanded by the USA. Germany does not do anything without an agreement with America.

Oh, I am on the best way to set up the Leopards of the Bundeswehr. 60 Leopard 2 I have already.^^

Brutzel, perhaps you could help me with current organization of a German panzer kompanie and panzergrenadier kompanie, as well as the respective battalions. How many per platoon and how many of what type in each battalion?
