Post by fullmetaljacket »

Hello

Haven't posted here in a while, My gaming group out of South Bend Indiana is looking for more players. We game every Saturday at the Griffon Bookstore/ hobby store in South bend IN, from 11am till 5pm. We play mainly historical miniatures games, micro, 1/72.. 1/100th, 1/2400th. Most era WW1, WW2, some scifi. If anyone is interested in stopping by send me a PM or reply to this thread. We also have a Google group an if you want PM I can give you that info also, it has the schedule and discussion of upcoming events and other topics. Hope to see some of you soon around the gaming table. We will be starting a North African micro armor campaign WW2 in early 2018.

Argh! Five hundred miles and one border too far!

What rules are you using for Western Desert micro armour and why? I have been getting back into it after decades off and fishing for interesting rules but would like to know the player's reason for using that particular set. Thank you.

Stephen

Darn yea 500 miles is a little far for a weekend game event.

Right now we have about 9 in our group but on average we have 5 to 7 on most weekends.

We are going to use Jagpanzer 2 micro armor rules set. We have learned that they are fast enough and detailed enough (which our group likes detail) that they play nice an smoothly. Plus there Air, Artillery, Infantry and other small arms works out well. I highly recommend them for micro armor games. As a group we have tried other rules but have came to conclusion this set works best for us.

I'm in Evanston, just north of Chicago. 110 miles and just over 2 hours is just a bit wee far....
