Did you know that January 2018 is "Paint a GHQ MBT Month?"
Neither did I until Dan told me to get to it, so it must be true.

Let's just call it paint a GHQ tank Month. That way it opens up all kinds of entries.

So paint up a fine GHQ produced Schützengrabenvernichtungspanzerkraftwagen or what ever you may call it in your finest colours.
Buy a new one or make a dent in the pewter mountain you already have. Strip and repaint an old one.
It could be a civil one if you wish or go overboard with a multi coloured military camo scheme.

Historical or Imaginary, it does not matter just paint one, you have weeks so even I have no excuse.

If you can not paint!.... One colour spray can paint jobs will receive extra points for humorous captions or dioramas.

1/2400 scale entrants will receive both my respect and pity.

If you can not post a photo no worries, please just post a 1000 word colourfull description of your finished article.

Im in! Wondering what January would be... But it will be coming from WWII. Hope that works. Have a set of Cromwells, Churchills and T-34/85s that I am wokring on. Will include these pics but they were completed last month. I will add new... errr try.

I'm in....cracked open 3 packs of T72s, will post pics once they are finished.....

I'm not much of a painter or modeler, but I do know how to play with tanks! Here are 2 of them.

On active duty I was around M1A1s and a few M1A2s, but while I was in college I was in the California National Guard and they still had M60A3s so I definitely need a battalion of them!

Some of you may recall some psycho stealing an M60A3 from the National Guard armory in San Diego in 1995 and rampaging through the streets before getting high centered on a highway median and shot in the neck by a cop. I had drill that weekend and had to guard the disabled, blood-stained tank all weekend. Good times!

Nice job on your tanks and thanks for sharing. Please post more of your stuff. I love to see all the vehicles that people paint and all the different skill levels.

When I was a boy, back in the 80s, I would go to my dads for a visit. My parents, divorced at that point, lived on different sides of New Jersey. During that trip I would drive through the training grounds of Fort Dix. I am not sure if those were Regular Army, Guard units or both at that time. Long story short, as I drove through the Training grounds, I looked down a fire break and there were 4 M60 tanks positioned with each tank pointed out from the center position in four opposite directions. I think they might have been stopped for the night or for some other reason. Bottom line they looked awesome. Two of them were positioned on the berms that lined the fire break to each side and the other two were facing up and down the fire break. It was amazing. Bottom line, from that point on, I was hooked on the M60 and they will probably be a big part of my collection. I think I have about 20 of them now.

Painting complete. They have just been given a coat of Dullcoat and are ready for basing, once they dry.

Let me start off with, I love your Enigma's. They look much better than my too clean enigmas... Please provide details on what you did to them. I see a wash, was that a black wash or some other color? Really interested in your external fuel tanks. I was toying with doing that to mine, but need to play with the color so it is not so bright. what color did you use for the green and red and if modified from the original color, what did you do? Actually while your at it, if you could just run down what you did from beginning to end.. LOL Again, they look great.
