My entire micro armor collection in 2000. 500 pieces of micro armor at buck a piece.

Slowly rebuilding it.

Never sell anything. Just ask my basement and garage. Kids are gonna call the tv show about hoarding on me. Still have even the GHQ Israeli T55/105mm.

Never sold off anything ... but:

Regret not buying that wonderful Stalingrad Grain Elevator one of our peers built a few years back (Cama I think)
Regret buying mystery packs of minis on eBay - usually turned out to be the other guys junk

I have not sold anything, but I did throw out about 150 or so pieces in one of my moves. I thoght I would never find anyone to war game with. After one of many moves I've made, I decided it was useless to be carrying them around any longer. They had been packed away for 7+ years. In my opinion, more tragic than selling them off.

Come do Stalingrad comrade... we defend the grain elevator. You gain an inch or two, no more, you kaput.
.
I buy trade, and sell, I wish I had never repainted my original came.

Cama,

Take GF to Disneyworld. Visit Kennedy Space Center and Universal as part of the trip. Church Street Station downtown. Go to beach. There is more there than Disney.

I have sold off many wonderful GHQ items over the years but I have no regrets.
The last few years I have mostly traded GHQ for different GHQ so always something new to try.

"They" say hoarding is hereditary.... My parents both grew up during the Great Depression, where practically nothing was thown away. That's what I observed, and that's what I was taught.

You should see our basement. On second thought, maybe you shouldn't.

My biggest "problem" now is finding where I stashed everything. There's a good chunk of my collection I seem to having trouble finding. When the kids became teenagers, they rearranged and stuffed and crammed boxes and totes everywhere, so now I only have vague ideas of where some things are. I just hope the didn't throw my stuff away, making room for theirs! Eeeeek!!

The bottom line is I still have every piece of micro armor I've ever purchased. No regrets; but wish GHQ had some kind of "exchange program" where I could trade some of my old armor for the updated versions. That'd be cool!

The "funny" thing is -- the old stuff still looks pretty darned good to me. Just as long as I don't place them side by side with the upgraded versions...

Regards,
Tom Stockton

Cama, regarding Sicily/Italy campaigns, if you haven't read it, highly recommend Rick Atkinson's Day of Battle.
