I thought i'd throw this open to the wisdom of the crowd - any thoughts on techniques for painting UN vehicles?

I tried a wash to bring out the detail, but it didnt work particularly well. (probably poor technique)

Currently I have most of them sprayed white - thoughts on next steps very welcome.
