"Not content with their Imperial aggression in western Africa, certain powers now seek a military alliance surrounding the peaceful peoples of PROG. Since we cannot seek better relations with our neighbors without the rattling of empty sabres, PROG will reach towards our mother country. We are pleased to announce new economic outreach programs with the Russian Federation. They have sent advisors to aid in the refurbishment and modernization of our steel and coal industries. Meanwhile, PROG labor divisions are expanding the southern port. The expanded dockyards will be leased to help expand basing options for the Russian Navy." (Mikhail Tikonov, PROG Foreign Minister speaking to PROG News)

(The sovereign nation of PROG is a large peninsular country south of Finland and north of the Baltics. A mountainous nation with only two ports, one on each coast, it only has a border with Russia and is dependent on them for food. I'm just having PROG rattle it's little sabre regularly until I get clearance from the lady of the house to expand my military)

Gurburov,
I would be happy to provide a letter to your minister of finance regarding the benefits of increasing your military establishment, which include distracting you from the male inclinations to drink, carouse, womanize, gamble, race cars, shoot up towns, invade foreign countries, etc. Staying home to organize and paint little tanks is FAAARRR cheaper and leaves you with time to spend with wife and children that the aforementioned alternatives do not. ANNNND, it leaves you time for doing those chores spouses are so fond of assigning to husbands, as well. On second thought, perhaps neither of us WANTS that kind of distraction...

Panzergator,
That is hilarious, I actually just used similar logic with my girlfriend.. She was going out of town and I informed her how lucky she was. I told her that of all the things I could be addicted to, its collecting, painting and playing with war game pieces. Can't get any better than that.
So when she leaves town, the worse thing that happens, is I order a bunch of tanks.. paint them, and plan a play date with a buddy to war game.. No worrying about where I am, what i am doing and what trouble I get into..
LOL

And no STDs to worry about, no hangovers to work through, and no broken kneecaps from unpaid gambling debts!

Panzergator,
Of course. my pewter tanks are too malleable to risk them to a misunderstanding and hurt feelings. LOL.. that reminds me of another reason why she is lucky... Because of the vehicles lack of resistance t... girlfriend smash, I try to avoid pushing things too far for fear of what could happen to them.. LOL.

And you certainly wouldn't throw them at her... of course, if she threw them at YOU, it wouldnt hurt. That is why my mother never gave my sister-in-law dishes.... she knew they would be thrown at my brother for ciming home late. He was a paratroopwr in the 82nd most of his career...

Sounds like your mom is a wise woman.. LOL. As for it hurting when thrown at me, that would depend on if the tanks are still in the storage case or not. Some of mine are wooden. LOL

Excellent points, gentlemen. But we play Pokemon Go for the exercise so she already knows where I am. And it's free. But next year I am freeing up a little money for tiny tanks. It's been almost 5 years since my last purchase and I "need" some new toys.

We "NEED" more of these little toys EVERY MONTH! NEED and GET are ywo different things, however. I would have a gym-sized building out back filled with motor pools of stuff if those NEEDS could be met...
