I thought I would toss this out there and see what happens. I have always had a spot for the logistics vehicles that are kind of the core that keeps everything else functioning. From fuel, ammo reloads, spare parts, and food and water. With the release by GHQ of the new Mann trucks in an empty, uncovered format it kind of lends itself to filling them up with something so let's give them some ideas for packs of loads and covers that they can manufacture for us to buy. Should be a money maker for GHQ and a godsend for us older less creative fans, like myself. I could see all the normal stuff, boxes, barrels, drums, dirt, etc. The canvas covers could be molded as a solid piece that would glue into the empty back end. Ammo reloads for various other vehicles would be really great. Fuel bladder loads, and maintenance or electronics cubicles. The possibilities could be endless. Troops even, they used to make seated troops for some of the WWII stuff years ago. Maybe this would be a good opportunity for some more bridging units too. Of course those empty rear areas lend themselves to scratch building too. Let's hear some of your ideas.

I have been asking for stuff like this for years now. Mostly wanted stuff like packs and spare toad wheels, but would love it to cover this stuff too.

Ammo pallets, ration pallets. All sized so they fit in the smaller trucks and fi r larger trucks we add pallets.

I couldn’t agree more - and I’m with Hoth in the type of kit. It’d be easy to make I’d think...

I’m actually surprised there isnt more on these type of items on shape ways. This woukd be a good place to do those custom pieces where GHQ would/could not want to fill the gap

Making cargo has been on my to-do list for a long time. Unfortunately, I keep adding stuff to the list that is higher priority and it never gets done. As an artillery guy, I would love pallets of artillery rounds and propellant canisters, as well as MLRS rocket pods for HEMMT loads. Also rucksacks, duffel bags, camo net bundles, and concertina wire rolls to festoon the outside of my vehicles.

From a generic logistics point of view, a lot of supply stuff gets shipped in cardboard boxes which are then palletized, so pallets of boxes would be great. At this scale I doubt you could differentiate what are ration boxes and ammo boxes from batteries and printer paper. At least my old eyes can't.

Neat stuff guys. I am mostly into modern armor nowadays. I think a lot of their stuff is palletized now. But being an old sailor I was wondering how they handle potable water. Do they use specialized tanker trucks, bladders, cases of bottled drinking water, ? I kinda figured it would be a mix of all of the above but not sure. Also I know they move a lot of the same pallets by helicopters. It's neat that GHQ is producing more of these types along with more engineering vehicles too.

There are other manufacturers who make useful items such as ammo boxes, oil drums, crates etc.

I recently used some from a small UK manufacturer to add some clutter to some GHQ T-55 armoured engineer vehicles. It really added to the model.

Would be good for GHQ to make some clutter 'bits'. Engine packs would also be great.

For those of you on FaceBook there is a group called 1/285th Scale Wargaming and Modeling and someone has posted pics of modern US cargo vehicles with cargo from that small manufacturer in the UK. I checked out their website and they make crates, oil drums, jerry cans, etc.The manufacturers website also has pics of GHQ vehicles with the cargo on board.

I have cut up small/odd bits of styrene and covered with tin foil - in effect “tarpedâ€￾ supplies. Comes out pretty well in my opinion.

Great idea, Burt. No waiting. Balsawood, bits and pieces from around the house also work. Screen, pantyhose, tissue paper for netting and tarps, tents. All stuff that modelers in 1/35 scale are familiar with work in this scale, too.
