Pacfic Ocean
An Australian Navy Oiler will meet up with the RCN patrol squadron in the midway into the Pacific Ocean to refuel the ships the rest of the way before making our port of call in Sidney Australia on December 10th, The Carriers techs will use the two weeks to go over catapult tests and arresting wire, before the jets will proceed to enter the flight deck to...FINALLY, take off for the first Training flight.

With Sidney Australia just over a week away, the Aircraft techs, and Flight deck crew quickly takes down the hockey rink in order to clear HMCS Canada's Flight Deck in preparation to get the CF-18s out on deck to begin the 1st CAWs first real carrier training flight. The crews are hard at work to make sure that all the launching and recovering systems are thoroughly tested to ensure that they will work properly before launch, everyone is very excited for this moment including the pilots who are very eager to start flying as soon as possible.

CFB Halifax
A minor refit program is being considered for the surviving Halifax class frigates to make them more combat effective after the loss of 4 of them during the Black Sea War. The refit calls for the removal of the 2 derelict Mk 41 VLS launchers, and replace them with one of the following weapon systems
2 MK 26 Dual Rail launchers
2 MK 29 Box Launchers
2 MK 143 ABLs
This will extend to the replacement Halifax's currently in construction.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Gosh, the VLS launchers...getting rid of them.
That’s probably another good decision. I am sure that will cost millions. Put in rails and a new missile magazine. Yep, that’s the way you should go.
Heck with the tactical deployment that was crap, operational deployment that was lousy, strategically inept and corrupt. Besides that it was a great plan with much success.
. Turkey, Chaikoviadom, Armenia-Dom might not let you pass into the Black Sea ever again or allow you to enter the Borphorous Strait. The Mediterranean Coalition might exclude you from the Mediterranean Sea. Egypt is not letting you in the Suez Waterway. The cannot afford to have your ships sunk in the channel blocking navigation.
. Who am I kidding. NC it was the Purchasing Agent that doomed the task force.

And that is the reason why Im doing all these military reforms and modernization's. To prevent such incidents and mistakes, from happening again. At least we won the Black Sea War.

Pacfic Ocean.
With all launching and recovering systems are all in the green, the CF-18s will began to make their way to the flight deck to take off for their first real carrier training flight. The pilots have been given a bit of a pep talk by the air wings commander to encourage them to practice real flying more often even out in the open ocean to better hone their skills then spending time in a simulator, this carrier needs a competent air wing and it will get it, the Commander cannot tolerate any more mistakes.

Carrier Take off and Landing training is in full swing in the early morning hours, CF-18s from the No 1 CAW started doing touch and go procedures every hour in order for the pilots to get better used to fly their aircraft over the ocean, the Air Wings commander is watching the exercise from the bridge of the HMCS Canada, to make sure that all crew and pilots are doing their jobs and not slacking off, anyone caught slacking so will be flogged. This exercise will continue everyday till the end of the patrol.

There it is. NC officer: "Anyone caught slacking so will be flogged"....have to admit, it's milder than I was anticipating. After reading the post before this, I was eagerly awaiting the draconian disipline methods of the NC officers, with much anticipation. One request....please make someone walk the plank, please.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
The 3 fine traditions of the Royal NC Navy...
1. Rum, 2. Sodomy, 3. the Lash.
Stole all three from the RN, ask Winnie.
Is it Rum or drunkenness?

They only act like pirates when they try to takeover a ship, whether commercial merchant or from another navy. Then ... walk the plank.
