The POP has came to the same conclusion as the ROD over a lack of a unified Command structure during the war. We must do better for the next war.

Also another new Reform for the POP has been proposed. The establishment of a Aviation Corps HQ that will help improve coordination of each Member nations Air forces in a conflict. The ACHQ will have a AEW and Air Tanker squadrons and much and like with our Army Counterpart have on site reinforcements in a form of Fighter, Helicopter, and Ground Attack Squadrons to provide assistance.

CF-14 Replacement program.

it has come to a decision to retire and replace the aging CF-14s currently in service on HMCS Canada by the end of the year. the RCN is now looking for a suitable next gen aircraft to replace them. please leave a suggestion at the RCN Fleet Air Arms Procurement Board for consideration so it will be evaluated by the 10th RCN experimental Squadron.

What do you mean when you day "next gen" fighter? Are you talking about something newer and more sophisticated than the F-14? You already mentioned you were acquiring the CF-118 Super Hornet for that role. Or are you talking about a 5th generation fighter? There are only a handful of true 5th generation aircraft out there, and if you want to fly them from a carrier I think your only option is the F-35, which you seem to loathe

The Super Hornets where meant to replace the CF-18s in RCN Service, the CF-14s was more of a Carrier Strike Aircraft due to its heavy bomb load. I am looking at the Dassault Rafale M Currently for that role, or I could just use more Super Hornets. Remember the NCAF did Drop out of the Joint Strike Fighter Program.

In response to the need for improving our Anti-Submarine warfare capabilities as part of the POP reforms from the war, work on the Horizon and Type 45 class of ships from the NCFSC program has been cancelled citing cost overruns and the difficulty of building a ship with a reduced radar cross section, so the shipyards can start work on drafting a new class of small ASW ships that can be cheap and easy to produce. they called it the Flower II class Corvette. a modern take on the Flower Class corvette from WW2. details about her capabilities will be announced at a later time.

The New Flower II class ASW Corvettes will have the following features.

2x 8 tube ASROC launchers mounted in the fore and Aft turrets as the main ASW weapons.
2x MK 10 limbo Mortars mounted in the Bow and Stern as a Secondary ASW Weapons.
And a Towed Sensor Array to allow it to pick up even the faintest of contacts.

The first ship of the Flower II Class HMCS Sackville will began construction this week.

Current Wildfire Situation in Alberta NC.

The Fire in the Sturgeon Lake Area has been put out thanks to the Efforts from firefighters from the Local Grande Prairie and Valleyview Fire-departments.

The Fire at the MD of Greenview is still listed as out of Control but fire crews from NC and The Feline Confederation are currently battling it now. It has not reached Grande Prairie.

The Fire Near Rycroft has been extinguished thanks to Recent rainfall.

Reinforcements has arrived from the other NC Provinces, and CL-415 Water Bombers from the Kingdom of Da Vinci's Regia Aeronaucita (pics coming soon if I can find the STL and print it.) to help fight the intense wild fires in Alberta. Thankfully MechCommander's home in Grande Prairie is in no danger of the Wildfire near Grovedale.

After months of deliberations as to which aircraft will replace the aging and much reduced numbers of CF-14 Tomcat, the RCN has come to the decision to replace them with more CF-118 Super Hornets for the First Carrier Air Wing. This is some talk about Removing the C2 Greyhound transports from the Carrier Air wing to make more room for more S-2 Trackers to increase the carriers ASW capability as part of the POP reforms made after the War.

You need both, greyhound is for resupply and bringing people off and on board and s-2 for asw.
Quantity has a Quality all its own.

The S-2 Trackers are still gonna operate on the carrier but in much greater numbers. The Greyhounds will be used mainly as Land based Transports instead. But officers from the Navy still prefer the use of Courier Ships to resupply vessels.
