Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Hoth,
I think you are just 'nit picking' and that the NCAF should be acknowledged as the Stirling example that it is of a vibrant and different kind of Force.
Not only do they think out of the box, they think out of the store, down the road, across the river and ten mile behind the FEBA.
In keeping with this 'new view to advanced warfare', the KDF is going to follow the NCAF's lead and adapt some of its cutting edge thinking.
This will include using confusion as a cover.
The KDF Army today announces that its 2nd Infantry Battalion will form into a new amphibious unit to compete with the KDF Navy Marines units.
This way both the Army and the Navy will have to seek funding and equipment for their own units.

Ironic considering that the NCAF never read Sun Tzu's Art of War.

Mech,
My comment was sarcasm. The oldest form of humor. When I am on the subject, it's not shocking that your military never read that book.

Inter-branch rivalry in the KDF? This will be a fun watch.

Hoth, No sarcasm from the KDF in this regard.
Its 2nd Infantry Battalion will form into a new Army amphibious unit.
This action is a direct result of watching the NCAF, the ROD, the RPNW and the CofC.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Oops, my bad Mic. However, the Rod and RPNW use marines exclusively for amphibious assault force. I will be interested to see how it works.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Avro Canada had took a second look at the F-35 as Kale suggested, the aerospace firm still turned it down, as the Aircraft is still too deeply flawed to see service in the RCN, plus it would not be able to operate on HMCS Canada and the two Tarawa class LHAs Nabob and Puncher. As for the VLS launcher, the Shipyard firm in Halifax has no idea how the thing even works, but if they could get their hands on a working example then maybe they could take it apart and try to reverse engineer the launcher, then they might incorporate it into existing RCN ships.

You're right, the F-35 is far too flawed to operate from a ship.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Well what I meant was that the F-35 still suffers from technical glitches and fixing them will cost more then the jet itself, plus none of the current carriers that the RCN possess the space needed to carry F-35s.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
I don't know why you insist on failing. You go out of your way to find reasons why you can't do something. Your CV and LHAs can handle F35s just fine. You don't have to use F35s if you don't want to, just don't make us some BS excuse as to why you can't. You are responsible for all of your failures. Same with the VLS system, but I won't wats any more of my time.
