Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
I didn’t think there was any ice in Canada anymore since it’s so warm.
The EE sold 5 of their ice breakers a few months ago.

From Mick's post it looks like we still do have ice in the Canadian Arctic.

Near Iqaluit Nunavut
The Three RCN ships are nearing the coast of Nunavut from there they will rendezvous with the 2 Canadian Coast Guard Icebreakers which will guide them through the Northwest passage and Out into the Bearing sea. The aircraft Onboard HMCS Canada will remain in the Hanger deck for the time being until they reach the Pacific Ocean to where they will began their first Carrier operations training ether when they stop at the ROD or our base in CFB Esquimult in British Columbia.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Escorted by the two Icebreakers from the Canadian Coast Guard, the RCN ships formed up into a single line and headed straight into the ice with the icebreakers leading them to cut a path through to the other side.
It was so cold outside that the flight deck crews had to stop working and head down into the hanger deck for warmth.
Meanwhile the pilots are spending the time on this trip playing a flight simulator game in the computer room to practice takeoff and landings on Aircraft carriers.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
The 3 ships are making a pit stop at the community of Resolute to take on food and supplies, and docked at its local port we see 2 of our fellow ships stopping here as well as part of their arctic patrol duty's, the Tribal class destoryer HMCS Haida, and the Trafalgar class attack sub HMCS Arctic Cod, the local supply ship in the middle SS Resolute Bay is loading up the supplies we need for our journey into the Pacfic Ocean.
At least this will give the crew some shore leave visiting the local tavern called Franklin's landing. some are taking part in the Taverns special " The Man who ate his boots" challenge.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
With all the supplies loaded and our crew back from shore leave drunk and stuffed from the taverns contest, the Three ships are now back underway to the Pacific Ocean, once again with the Ice Breakers leading the way through the
Large Channel that makes up the Northwest Passage.

Beaufort Sea
The ships has made it out the Northwest Passage and are in the Beaufort Sea, the two Canadian Coast Guard Ice breakers are returning to their base in Nunavut. the Pacfic patrol be making its way into the bearing strait shortly and arrive in the Pacific Ocean by late next week. our first stop would probably the ROD as they are closer to the southern end of the Bearing Strait. The flight deck crews are outside right now to make sure those 4 Steam Catapults work properly before we can get the CF-18s out of the Hanger Deck they have been sitting around throughout the majority of this trip through the ice.

Bearing sea onboard HMCS Quebec.
(Radar Operator 1): "Hey uh guys I detected a unknown aircraft on my radar, its, its flying at a speed I did not think was possible for a aircraft."
(Radar Operator 2): "Yea I saw it too was on my radar screen for a second a poof gone in a flash."
(Radar Operator 1): "What the bloody hell could it possibly be?"
(Midshipman): (Enters into the radar room): "Hey whats all the Bloody racket."
(Radar Operator 1): "Sir an Unknown Aircraft flew over the Carrier Fleet and a speed of...Mach 3."
(Midshipman): "Blimey, are you still drunk from that high alcoholic grog in that shady tavern back in Resolute? Ha, Mach 3, Ha. Probably just some random shooting star flying overhead. Now Get back to work."
(Radar Operator 1): "Ye-Yes sir."

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
This data will be reviewed by the Pacfic Fleet HQ when we arrive in CFB Esquimult, but as far as we are concerned its probably just a random shooting star flying over our carrier fleet nothing to be alarmed about.
Bearing Straits
The Pacfic Patrol fleet is making good time as we just entered the northern end of the Bearing Strait, and our steaming down towards the Pacfic Ocean, staying close to the Alaskan side of the strait to avoid entering into EE waters by mistake.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
In the Bearing Straits
One of our SSGN 36, detected a NC Navy task force as it was outside EE waters. With some concern that EE may send some assets, sub, ships and/or aircraft to patrol and gather intel as the NC task force passes by. The SSGN eased out to international waters and under the task force. Then decreased depth so that the SSGN signature may get mixed with the NC group. A very low frequency transmission as the change of mission from stealth observation to evasion to CoC Naval HQ to inform the NC Royal Navy of a guest just below the thermo-cline layer. The SSGN traveled for about 40 NM before departing to head towards ROD. A low frequency transmission to visit ROD is being transmitted.

Bearing Sea
(Radioman): "Sir I got a message from a submarine saying that we are inside EE waters?"
(Captain): "Entered into EE waters you say? Thats should not be possible, as we are on the US side of the Bearing Sea, AWAY from EE territory as it was planned but none of less will get our ships out of EE waters to make sure they do not react."
The 3 RCN ships began to form into single file and sailed away from EE waters.

Pacfic Ocean
leaving the Bearing Sea behind the three RCN vessels sail to the ROD as their first stop on the Pacfic Patrol, the Canadas steam Catapults are going through their final round of tests and maintenance checks before the aircraft from the 1st RCN Carrier Air Wing enters the flight deck, it looks like only 3 catapults will be used for this first carrier exercise as Catapult No 2 has suffered a cracked pipe probably damaged from the ice build up during the trip through the northwest passage that will be fixed when we stop at CFB Esquimult. The Jets inside the hanger deck are getting their final maintenance checks as well to ensure they are up to flying status before taking off. the pilots are getting very excited to start flying for real this time.
