This is UCBC news the National here is Dale Mansbridge, "Good evening the Canadian navy has is on high alert for two carriers belonging to the Evil Empire and efforts to get a aircraft carrier operational has accelerated with the HMCS Nabob (CVE-77), but upon inspecting the former NDA navy base in the masset inlet, they have made a startling find sitting amougst the former NDA fleet is an intact and still operational HMCS Bonaventure (CVL-22) still in her original colors, how she ended up there is unknown, but with that the RCN quickly got her out of the inlet and is currently steaming to Vancouver for inspection hoping to place her in active service much sooner then the Nabob".

"Meanwhile the Unified Canadian Government has gathered in Ottawa today to discuss the fate of Cannabis in the New Canada should it be legalized much like what the old Canada did? or should it be banned?, UCBCs Lisa Mays explains" (Lisa Mays): "thank you Dale as you know Marijuana was first Legalized in the old Canada years ago, but when the break up happened the documentation that made Cannabis Legal in the country had been lost, but the recent ROD inquiry about that topic came into light, it became a big debate among officials, the discussion is expected to last for a week, Lisa Mays UCBC News Ottawa".

This is UCBC News the National, here is Dale Mansbridge "good afternoon the rioting that has happened at the ROD buildings here in Canada has turned violent today as thousands of Protesters try to storm in on the ROD Consulate in Vancouver in hopes of burning it to the ground the same is true with the embassy in Ottawa, there angry over the imperial carriers entering the Pacific Ocean and the RODs inability to stop them, the situation got so bad that the RCMP has called in the Canadian Army to help qwell the rioting as Leopard 2 tanks and LAV III IFVs made there way into the area carrying soldiers equipped with rioting gear to hopefully put down the riots and restore peace".

"Meanwhile in Vancouver the RCN has finally got both Carriers the Bonaventure and the Nabob into active service, the Bonnie will receive a complement of CA-4 Skyhawks, and SH-3 Sea Kings, while the Nabob will receive Hawker Sea Furrys and Avenger Torpedo Bombers, the CF-18s and CF-14s will remain on land bases until a larger carrier can be reactivated for them".

The ROD is troubled by this violence. Do the Canadian people want us to attack Imperial warships in international waters because they are being obnoxious? Would they like us to use violence before giving giving diplomacy a chance to work? Why are the Canadian people so anxious to take human life? What has happened to the Canadians to make them behave this way?

The reason why the Canadians act this way is mostly out of paranoia no doubt the result of Canada nearly being taken over by a foreign power, but rest assured the Unified Canadian Government is not afraid of the ROD though the Imperial Carriers is of a grave concern to safety of our country.

As for Camastan we thank you for your assistance but your focus should be on the Evil Empire navy in the Pacific.

Mech, not being deeply versed in Canadian culture, whence the name Nabob?

The Nabob if your referring to the Escort Carrier, actually belonged to the Royal Navy but was crewed by Canadians during ww2 as a means to learn how to operate carriers, the Name as far as i can tell is a term for a person who returned from Europe from the Orient with a fortune.

Well, it was a Muslim government official, or someone who returned from India to Europe with a fortune made, or a term of derision for bureaucrats. It was the more derisive definition that made me wonder about the name, but, since it has a historical connection, I understand, now, your choice. It seems the original was named with a bit of that Brit tongue-in-cheek application.

Would the RCN like to send a squadron of CF-14s or CF-18s to the ROD Navy as an exchange squadron?

We are in the midst of an aggressive ship building program and we are finding that it is easy to build a carrier, the real challenge is providing aircraft and trained pilots to form the air wings.

If you attached a squadron to one of our carrier air wings you could get some experience operating from a large carrier. The ROD could free up an F-18 squadron to be the cadre for our new wing that is being put together to serve on the next carrier, so we would both benefit.

We already operate F-14s and F-18s on our ships, so the support infrastructure is already in place. Operationally you would have to be under the command of the ROD air wing commander as long as you are embarked. The Vengeance (with Carrier Air Wing 1) is in the Bay of Bengal supporting operations in Mahshmati and the Fury (with Carrier Air Wing 3) just put to sea recently to counter the Imperial carriers so you could join either one of those ships. Also, the Maelstrom (with Carrier Air Wing 5) will be putting to sea in a few weeks so you could join them if you wanted to participate and you need more prep time.

On a humorous note, I googled Isaac Brock to see who your cruiser was named after. At first I only saw Isaac Brock, the singer and guitarist for the band Modest Mouse. I thought, "Cool band. I'm down with that". It was only later that I noticed there was a Major General Sir Isaac Brock that served in Canada in the 18th and 19th century.
