Meanwhile at home The RCN has got a huge stroke of luck with the F-35 problem, As the US has 4 Ex Turkish F-35As they are willing to deliver to the RCN for use with the super carrier HMCS Canada.
This sounds interesting Mech.
Any plans to extend the carriers flight deck by 5-600 feet or will the A's be modified in some way?

The 4 F-35As will be modified for Carrier borne operations.

Just an idea, sorta extreme…. Cutting edge, a real paradigm!
Just do the B or the C.

Very well, the 4 F-35As will be converted to the C variant. the F-35s are expected to be ready by mid May. these 4 are just a test run to see how well the Jets do onboard HMCS Canada.

That’s efficient and highly effective…. Well maybe not really.
Strengthen the frame for carrier landings, install the hook, strengthen the landing gear. New apparatus for takeoff,
But oh well. I’m sure the conversions would be completed in just a couple of days at the most.

Mediterranean
Monitoring of the EE security zone. Day 1

So far through visual and radar means there has been no activity coming from the EE security zone.

Just normal activity at the moment - some training and some routine garrison activities. If you are focusing on the Imperial Security Zone you are only going to see the 60th MRD. The rest of the 1st CAA and the Imperial Air Force units are in Eastern Libya.

This is the 1st CAA website. The air and naval units are at the bottom since they are under the control of the 1st CAA commander.

General Nicholas Spankinski's own lackeys. I'll defiantly keep an eye on them.

The support ships head to the Nile, passing within 6-7 NM of the Nunavut.
Osa turn on the fire control & targeting radar, illuminating the Nunavut.

Mediterranean after 1st day of monitoring off Egypt.
So far there has been no indication of any movement coming from the 60th MRD unit in Egypt, Its unknown if the 1st CAA's Commander is even aware of the of our presence here in the Med, but I'll bet he will be in for quite a shock to see our advanced Ticonderoga Class cruiser on his door step. We will remain on station in Egypt for a week, then move to eastern Libya to monitor EE activity there as well.

Mediterranean after Day 2 of monitoring the EE Security zone.
Still no reported movements coming from the EE's 60th MRD. If only Egypt will allow us to get closer instead of being stuck here in international waters. tommrow afternoon we are preparing a Ryan Lightning Bug drone for Photo Recon work. I don't think Egypt will mind as we are just monitoring the EE controlled territory.

An RCN Mail Courier Ship, HMCS Hero (an old H class Destroyer) Will rendezvous with the Nunavut next week to drop off mail.

Actually, Egypt does mind. There is an entire ROD division in western Egypt to keep an eye on the EE forces there.

EE will mind, too. The last time NC came this way, lost a few capital ships. Wait last couple of times, got smacked.
