Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
The Primary Selection process to fill the positions in the NCAF council has began. Applications for those positions has been issued to all NC officers coast to coast. Over the next 2 months afterwards, the number of possible Candidates will be reduced through a series of written tests, until the finals in June. Only 24 candidates will be chosen to be the new council members.

Off the coast of Labrador
After spending weeks sailing through the Northwest Passage, HMCS Canada has made it to the Atlantic, she is scheduled to arrive at CFB Halifax this weekend for her extensive drydock work on the hull. She will also need an engine overhaul to, as it was discovered by engineering, that her 4 steam turbine engines are showing signs of wear and tear due to extensive use, probably from her Pacfic Patrol last year. Its expected that she will remain at drydock for at least 3 to 4 months, this will allow the engineers time to replace the worn out engine parts with those they will have to build from scratch considering the supercarriers age.

CFB Halifax
HMCS Canada has just entered drydock now for her long overdue refit and engine maintenance, her Belknap escorts is returning back to base for the long awaited review of the Pacific Patrol last year in a effort to improve on the fleets performance during an international patrol, but at this time no such patrols will be conducted.
The Carriers remaining aircraft are being off loaded and sent to the aviation depot for long term storage and maintenance.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Thanks Chris, though it will be a long time before the supercarrier will set sail again.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
I like the KGV Class BB with the helo on stern deck. 8 guns up front.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Umm Chris that’s not a helo pad at the stern, that’s the launch rail for the Sperwer Drones, we honestly could not find room to put in a helo pad on.
The Sperwer drones will have to be stowed on deck near the launcher. The big question is. How to recover those drones? As we realize that the post refit shows that there is not enough room on the stern to catch them with a net.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Thanks Redleg she’s the first of her kind in the NC Navy purposefully designed to launch a large drone.
The NC Version of the Sperwer drone largely strips out most of its ISTAR equipment for increased range, but keeping its video camera. She will be used for recon and observation purposes only. sending back videos to the BB and to the C&C room in Lahr Germany.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
The stern of a BB missing the X turret doesn't have room for a helo pad ..... well, okay.
We might have to send 6 assault helicopters with assault teams to land as 8 attack helos support the assault.
Bet ya we will be able to land them.
...
Just talking.

Well you see Chris... The spot where X turret used to be. Has been taken up by a MK 10 Twin Arm Missile Launcher to compliment the other MK 10 on the aft castle deck.

AHhhhhhh, that’s not nice, well, it’s nice for you. Not me on the assault. First, Harpoons then
I guess I’ll have to send in my WIld Wiesel aircraft, then the assault.
How does that work for ya?

CFB Petewawa, and Dwyer hill
The special forces training centers are now fully demolished and cleared away, the land from which they used to be will be redeveloped later down the road. The camp flag of the former Black Maple Company unit will be donated for display at The NC War Museum in Ottawa.
