What do you think?

I’m thinking of replacing most of my M1 tanks with someone else.
I might be able to get a dollar each if I sold them on eBay.
Most are from the 1st gulf war casting not too detail.
So should I? If so thinking about Leo as a replacement . Maybe the M1 tusk but only get 4 casting per pack and a lot of work to put together.

Are these M1 or M1A1? 105mms or 120mm?

And which Leo? A4 or A6?
Do you know the Turks were very unhappy with Leo's combat performance? I don't know details.
I like M1A2 or Challenger II over Leo.

All with the 150mm
Yea the M1a2 is truly a war winner but so plain.
I like the Leo a2 on the fence with the a6.
Would go with Challenger but the barrels are too thin.
I’ll end up keeping maybe 100-200 and replace the rest if I can afford it.

Well, I am surely not the last word, but GHQ's new Leo A4 looks good and close to the Leo A2. It is newer than A2 and the mold is fresh.
Have you considered LeClerc? It wouldn't be my choice, but it is interesting. And you can always buy Russian.
I still favor the M60 series, so you might want to wait for someone else to join in. I would LOVE to get MBT70, but it doesn't look likely.

As for plain, camo adds a lot of interest, unless you want all sand.

I would think about the K2 for sure.
Built in radar on front of turret RWR, LWR, hard kill system, auto target detection and tracking system and hunter killer function. Can fire its own top attack munitions like a dam mortar.
Designed from the out set to be fully networked.
If I was doing an ultra modern force I would give it a long hard look.
In fact I was trying to fit it into my YB Army but went with an upgraded T-72 (TUSK) instead.
Then again a lot is up to your own likes and wishes. How will it fit into a larger or smaller army, what kind of terrain do you envisage? Flat, mountainous or jungle.
Are you just minding your own border or do you need to move it half way around the globe etc.
The GHQ model is a cracker too.

Didn’t even consider the K2 but looks like it has a ton of toys.
Not battle tested but I’ll have to check out the ghq casting of it
How about the Merkava ?

The Type 10 might be a good replacement. It even has the appearance of a follow-thru in the M1 series seeing as it has background with the Type 90 which was essentially a Japanese version of the M1 Abrams.

The budget for Q1 is to replace 200-250 tanks .
I’m going to get a pack of the potential replacement vehicle before I decide.

If I were going to be in the tank, it would be Challenger II.

Waiting for sample of each to show up.
Depending on the casting mostly go with K2 to start.
Most likely replacing most if not all the early casting of the M1 tanks.

I keep coming back to the dam K2 lol.
I have unpainted K2 and K21's on my desk right now sitting next to my BMP2 and T72 TUSK.
They sure look nice.
Are you getting any of the Type 10?
Mick.
