Finally gov shutdown over but bit late for the company I work for.
Company didn’t survive with the lost of gov contact
Been out for the month so I’ll have to keep most of my M1 instead of upgrading them.

Plans were to replace 80% MBT and adding new IFV.
Did manage to push ahead replace about 100 tanks.

Sad so Sad

nashorn88 do not be so sad, 100 MBT's anytime is a major addition. Well done.
Which type did you go with in the end?

I too have had to amend my wish list of late. I missed the last two sales as a result.
In fact I had my S300 units and others in the check out on Black Friday when I found out my hours had been cut. I'm still not back up to full time yet.

I have picked up 2-3 packs locally now and then but it's just not prudent to reequip the way I would like to at the moment.
Luckily I still have a good backlog of used kit to refurbish and trades will also help.
I will continue slow but sure and set the PROG's new S300 unit as my screen saver until then

Sorry to hear that, hope you are back to work in some fashion?

I, too, did not order during the sale due to the government shutdown. Very frustrating. I especially wish I could see the photography article apparently shipped with the orders. It is not posted in the Newsletter section of the GHQ website.

I end up getting Merkeva and K2.
Still planning for Can leo2 since they look so nice painted up.

I did get a chance to paint a bit.
Plans now are to sell all the older M1a1 casting and replace them 1st.

The big plus side for me in this delay has been the new T-90MS release.

I had 20x T-72 (Tusk) already as my new MBT and had planned to pick up a bunch more in the Black Friday sale. I had to back off at the very last moment just to be on the safe side.

Now I see the new T-90MS is just what I was looking for as a stand in for the Iranian Karra (YB Striker) MBT. I'll still keep the T-72 Tusk's as my top of the line 72 for urban ops and may ever add more later, it is cracker of a model as you would expect from GHQ.

So there is always an up side, it's just going to take a little longer to upgrade than I planned.

Man, I might be digging in the dirt compared to my old job whilst I reskill myself into medicine... but at least I still get paid my pittance!

Politics aside it's a bloody shame what you lot are going through in the states... I'm just damn glad our government in AUS doesn't have the desire to harm it's own workers as much for the sake of some disagreement!

That's awful Nashorn. Hopefully new work will free up a budget for more toys.

7.62 that's funny using my bad pic as a screen saver.

Yeah, company just finished a refresh base on the fed contracts.
Long story short 30 lost jobs, 3-4 small vendors will get pennies on the dollar in Bankruptcy court.

Oh well what can you do.
I’m in IT so lots of jobs around for now. I’ll take a break and work on organizing and maybe down size the army.

Thanks all

Funny how the rich have no idea what working people do lol
I see TSA agents and they making less then $20 an hour and most can’t afford to live in the area. Most have to have 2 jobs to makes ends meet in the Bay Area.
Ok enough of the real world

So this is the bulk of my tank force
Another 2-300 t 80 to get to
Down size from its high of 1200. I had hope to replace all but 200 with new casting but this is going to wait.

He has almost two divisions of armor in the pic, 500+, using 330 per division.
That is strong force.

A U.S. H series armored division had 324 tanks (assuming the divisional cavalry squadron has Sheridans). A U.S. J series armored division had 348 tanks, assuming the divisional cavalry squadron does not have tanks. In each case, there were 6 pure tank battalions, the H series battalions had 54 tanks, the J series 58. I can't speak to later TO&Es.

The mech divisions had 5 pure tank battalions in each case.

PG, thank you for the info on the H and J Series TO&Es, appreciate it.
More recent info on armor organization, one of several over time.
14 Abrams to the company: pltn of 4 x 3 = 12 + 2 for CO & XO = 14
3 Companies to the Battalion = 42 +2 = 44
3 Battalions to the Brigade 44 X 3 = 132 + 2 = 134
3 Brigades to the Division = 402.
Bradley structure is similar to Abrams structure.
There have been 4 company Battalions, others may have 2 armor and Mech Inf. Mission specific as the needs determine.
.
Now the use of Combat Teams: BSCT, BACT, Battalion Stryker Combat Team, etc.
Other may have better and/or more insight. Please add the info. Take Care.
