Someone once posted about getting a collection at an estate sale, so now every weekend I drag my wife to every estate sale that I see. No luck yet

I actually started in this hobby with GHQ bought at a flea market. It was the early '70s in the Detroit area. The owner Robin, I can't remember his last name for sure but I want to say Miller, sold games and minis from his booth. I bought my first minis GHQ Tiger Is (which I still have) and my first game, Battleline's Wooden Ships and Iron Men (which I also still have). I started with Angriff and Tractics (which I played a lot) and still have both of them too.

I was born in 72.
I was commissioned in 72.
In '72 I was painting and gaming with ... dare I admit it ... 1/76 and 1/72 scale minis.
Didn't discover GHQ micro armor until '74. I'm so embarrassed ...
We now return you to your originally scheduled thread on flea markets / estate sales / swap meats.

There, there, Mk 1. I didn't discover GHQ until '78, playing Dunn Kempf in the Armor Advanced Course. You were practically in at tbe beginning!
