Thank you Redleg.
In your honor… the 155mm!
I am still searching for substitute for Model Master Medium Green….
A few of these came with this green, I added brown and black. I bought a can on ‘satin Hunter green’ which had a shine. Sprayed one as a alpha test, matte sealer. Then did 6-7 other vehicles with the same satin hunter green, not as shiny as Gloss …. I added the brown n black, seems to match some other vehicles I have bought. Turrets are not glued down. I have a bit toooo much brown n black, which I was concerned having shiny green. I may try a wash to help. What are your thoughts?
Took some pictures for a gamer of the CV90-105 to compare/contrast to Abrams and Leopard 2.
I am using these as CV90-120

Looking for replacement for my medium green that I utilized for my 3-tone NATO Camouflage.
Which green looks the best in your opinion?
CoC Merkava IV in Chris cam with mine plows.
Earlier Merkava model by GHQ,
Abrams love playing in the mud. Can’t you tell?

Thank you Redleg, the mud is heavy, I may black wash those tanks. Spatter some mud …
Finished these today. Need to prepare for the NC Expeditionary Force going to the Middle East and/or Africa.
AVLB, the hull is certainly not GHQ.

Over the years I have collected turrets without barrels or part of the barrel.
In this case, 20+ M60A1 turrets that need styrene.
First batch to test my skill and proof of concept sample.
Replacement barrels are too long, will be cut down to size.
All turrets that have a complete styrene barrel will be receiving camo netting to hide the lack of a fume extractor.
I used StripStyrene, 219, .025” ROD, 0.64mm.

I'm afraid I don't have any useful advice Chris. I suck at weathering and I've never used pigments. I'm just now starting to apply washes with decent results. I'm following closely though to see if anyone has any tips that I can pick up too!

I posted the following in ‘Show us your stuff’.
The M60 A1 were from auctions on eBay, group buys at conventions wanting something else, etc.
In the following pictures these M60 A1 had broken barrels. I used a dryer sheet that was painted a dark color of green. After glueing the styrene to a smooth flat area of the turret/barrel. I then put glue on the tank’s barrel then apply the net. I get a bit of glue on a couple of fingers as a bonus.
I used the dryer sheet as I could not find my Cheese Cloth.
The Abrams on the left is where I used Cheese Cloth, it looks more like netting, so it works for me. Previously I used black pantyhose, but the elasticity was a bit difficult to glue on the turret or the hull to look like a net.
Several of the turrets below have netting at the back. One of those turrets was for an M-1 with a broken 105. I used styrene that I use for 120mm gun so I used netting to camouflage the shorter turret that doesn’t have a bustle rack in back.
Another turret is an old M1 with the thicker barrel, guess early - mid 1980s. So I used netting again to portray an M1A1.

Same post as “Show Us Your Stuff….”
HAD to buy more Cheese Cloth, could not find previous pack.
Finished painting the M60 A1, added camo netting. Cut the cheese cloth into pieces, spray painted solid color. 2-3 shades of a dark green and the a Satin Hunter green for the camouflage netting.
Here are a few pictures with cheese cloth used as camo netting. IMHO, better that dryer sheets.

Chris,
In your earlier pictures of the rolled-up camo nets did I read correctly that you were using dryer sheets? At this scale the cheese cloth just seemed too out of scale. Even rolled up tight.
