WW2Central website + Instagram Photos

Post by WWIICentral »

Howdy everyone! It's been a long time since I've been active here, primarily dealing with some health challenges. I'm finally at a stage where I can take a measured approach to collecting World War 2 miniatures.

Over the next few years (yes, I'm taking a slow approach), my goal is to step through every WW2 Naval Vessel in GHQ's 1:2400 catalog. I'll be painting many of them, and posting pictures of all of them. I'm still establishing a rhythm but I've already posted a few topics and photos on a new and redesigned WW2Central Website. Please take a look!

Also, if you'd like to see more frequent updates and activities, then consider following me on the WW2Central Instagram Page where I'll likely post more often, including "work in progress" photos.

I hope you all have had a nice Holiday season, and wishing you all the best!

Questions, comments, requests welcome!

That's a great looking site! The ship, tank, and aircraft pics that you posted so far all look amazing! I may have to actually get an instagram account going soon. I'm definitely book-marking the page.

Maybe you could make a "how-to" or "tips and tricks" section on your site to go over your painting techniques. I don't have a single WW2 model, but I have a sudden desire to buy some ships!

Great to see you back. I still look at your old WW 2 Central website for inspiration.

Tanner,

Beautiful work. I especially like the Japanese tanks. A question: for your highlights, do you dry brush or do you paint them with a loaded brush? They appear opaque.
