I'm always looking for gaming scenarios and a poster named Wolfhag on The Minatures Page posted these:

Will definitely help pass the time while we're staying at home. I hope to tee one of these up this weekend and post a battle report.

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing Cav Dog! I'm printing these out and taking them home! Looking forward to your battle report!

Ah, Cav Dog, that's OLD! Armor Center no longer at Ft. Knox. Moved to Benning where the Infantry pukes can control 'em better, like in the 30s. Everlasting shame. Back to thinking at 2 1/2 mph.

Gator you probably weren't happy when the blacksmiths and horse shoes went away either. Time to join the 20th century now that it is the 21st! :D

There are still good gaming possibilities in these scenarios. I'm thinking of running a slice of the Durango valley scenario.

I don't know if anyone is following the developments with the USMC and Royal Marines, but there could be some interesting near-future littoral/island-hopping campaigns to play out.

Cav Dog, you've been talking to Robel. No, horse cavalry is gone. My grandfather was a horse cavalry officer. I do know what happens when Infantry steals a match on Armor, and moving to Benning did that.

The US Marines just decided to sell off their tanks and LAVs.

I'd never advocate that an army get rid of tanks, but the USMC isn't an army, and the LAVs are outdated and do for a re-think anyways.

The LAVa ARE outdated and never particularly well-suited for reconnaissance, anyway.I

They will need those tanks, but ya can't tell 'em.

For sure. I bet a few years from now, we will be reading that they are bringing back tanks, or perhaps jumping onboard with the US Army's light tank program etc.

Who knows.

*Hey Shawno, watch me poke the old man with a stick*

Hey PG, look at my new tanks:

Look! TARGETS! Don't waste the rounds. Just poke 'em with stick... Push 'em over on their backs and watch their wheels go. WPOS. Tanks, my a**. ROFLMAO!

Only the French take busses to war.

A great example of why the Armor School should NOT be at Benning...
