"Crusader: General Donn Starry and the Army of His Times.". Author Mike Guardia. If you have an interest in mounted combat in its various forms, read this one. Starry was the premier Armor thinker in the last half of the 2 0th Century. I was fortunate to be an Armor officer during his tenure. Fort Knox was a hive of activity, thinking, development, and training, during his tenure. He was a principle developer of AirLand Battle, which got us out of Active Defense and put us back on the offense in Europe. My admiration for him and his contributions to the profession know no bounds.

Good professional reading, if you still do that sort of thing. Like General Kell saud, if you haven't read hundreds of books, you are ignorant..."
