I'm a bit late to this M-60 party but Martin sure did a fine job on those 2 painted M-60s. The one in MERDC is probably my favorite of the two but both are really well done.
As to having infantry hitch a ride on my tank or other tanks in the units I served in, I have never seen it done on any exercises I was involved in. Our attached Mech infantry had their own M-113s which at least gave them some protection from small arms and shell fragments that they would not have while riding on top of a tank.

Just got my local library to start printing of some M60 tanks, both the A1 and A2 versions, I’ll post them when they are finished.
