That is all I needed to know. That works for me. Looks like I have a mandate for my next vehicles on the paint list. Thank you gentlemen.

You got two votes. Let's stop bandying around that (mandate) word. A mandate requires a SIGNIFICANT MAJORITY, and nobody's seen that in a number of years.

You would think that painting 14 tanks straight green with no camo would be pretty quick and easy. Apparently I like to make things more challenging than they need to be! I just finished a company of M60A3s in basic green. I tried to put a black wash on them, but the results were mixed. I should have applied the wash to the whole company at once instead of by platoon as some have a heavier wash than others.

This would be B Company. 2nd Battalion, 185th Armor (California National Guard) as I knew her in 1995. I was just going to do one company, but with all the talk on the other thread about building units I feel that it is my duty to build a full battalion now.

Nice work, and I know the feeling that a few tanks is never enough! I tried using the contrast paints with the contrast medium as suggested on the forum here recently, and the wash is much thinner and less darker. I think I like it a better but I have only tested it out at this point....

No, a few tanks are never enough. First a company, then a battalion. Then two battalions. Oh, hell, why not a brigade? I need mech. More tanks. More mech. ARTILLERY! THAT is beginning to look like a division. Might as well...

Those tanks are looking good! But you should have combined arms, you know. JUST tanks are never enough either.

That's how GHQ makes money.

Redleg, a lottery winning does change the cash flow. Those nice looking M60 would need to guard the cash.

A brigade is a nice sized unit which can include most of the combined arms team at battalion level - tanks, mech, arty, support if you want to do the trucks. Supporting aviation may be added as you desire.

Here are some M60s that I painted probably over 20 years ago.

I like the blade tank. It was usually the "50" tank, the No.2 tank in the company hq section. I buy the AVLB/CEV packs and swap turrets to make blade tanks.

Ein panzer zug!

Still working to get the color ratio correct. I probably need to buy a smaller paint brush for the sand and black.
