Re: M60 Tanks
Redleg, I think your M60 MERDC are my favorite out of all your work. They look awesome.
Chris, yours are looking good as well.

Re: M60 Tanks
Thank you gentle,em.
I did hit a different Dark Green spray paint. See how that might chenge it a bit. I think I will need to change my paint brush mechanics some. Then try another company of armor.
The battalion will need to fight against the Evil EE.

Re: M60 Tanks
I finished a few more M60s last night - a company of M60A3s in the gray desert MERDC camo. I also finished a platoon of M113s, but I'm not really liking how it turned out on the APCs. I'm pretty sure I'm biting off more than I can chew, but I decided that I'm going to build a full brigade as my next project. It will consist of two tank battalions of M60A3s (one in green and one in desert MERDC), one mech battalion in M113s in desert MERDC, and one DS arty battalion of M109A5s in green. I didn't intend to do a full brigade, but you M60 tankers have inspired me! I hope you can sleep at night knowing that you pushed me over the edge!

OOOOH! I LIKE 'em! If it's any consolation, I like 'em by the brigade, too. But then, I'm an addict. I think you need a division! The camo is great and you made good color choices.

Hey Hoth, the paint is all Tamiya. I got all the colors and then the site crashed and now I don't know where the list is! I'll get the colors tonight when I get home!

Hell yes! That's fantastic painting! I also really dig the gray windows - I never thought of gray, but it looks really good. I think I'm going to try that!

Re: M60 Tanks
Here are the colors that I used for the desert MERDC:
Tamiya Buff (XF-57) and Tamiya Flat Earth (XF-52) for the base colors.
Tamiya NATO Black (XF-69) and Tamiya Desert Yellow (XF-59) for the little squigglies.

Re: M60 Tanks
By the way, you did a very good job on the proportioning and placement of the brown. I think that is the most difficult of all to get right about MERDC. If you get that right the two 5% colors are mych easier.

Re: M60 Tanks
I'm still plugging away on my M60 battalion. I'm not going to do all the support vehicles, but I am going to do the mortar platoon and the scout platoon. I'm good with the mortars (6 big tubes Baby!) but I'm not sure about the scout platoon. For a 1990s pre-Bradley M60A3 battalion did the scout platoon just have six M113s?
