Oh sure, if you want it to look like a real helicopter and not a model... that's amazing work, Pete!

What? No faces in the portholes?

That is some seriously great work. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Here is a platoon of American M4A3 Shermans I painted a while back. On 4 of them, I have turrets with the split commander's hatch. I made these by using turrets from the British late war Shermans and cutting off the rear bustle.

Redleg, Hoth, Panzergator, and everyone else here. Thanks very much. I will endeavor to make this an ongoing thread here on the GHQ Forum.

I have lots of pictures to post and occasionally I will have some musings as well. I will try to make this a fun place to go.

I appreciate it!

Pete

You are an artisan - just outstanding stuff. Do you do infantry as well?! I can imagine the level of detail (which has eluded me for years). Thanks and keep posting!

Thank you all very much!

Hoth, the camo on the Mi-8s is hand painted. I attempted to airbrush 1 of the 4 helicopters but had issues with the liquid mask which doesn't seem to work too well for me most of the time. I used 2 or 3 thin coats of Humbrol #86 German Light Olive over #94 Brown Yellow which was airbrushed as the base coat.

Burt, I will have some infantry coming soon. The first of these will be my WWII Americans and late war German infantry.

Begemot, Thanks again for all your help with this!

Pete
