A slightly different take on the typical most requested question.

The question: What modern naval power would you like to see GHQ add to their line-up?

Potential options: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, South Korea etc.

My vote would be Australia. It fits with potential future conflict in the Western Pacific and they have three cool ship classes: DDG Hobart, LHD Canberra, FFG Anzac

Which nation's navy would you like to see? Please stick to current modern navies

Aussies and South Koreans at least...

IF the ball goes up in the South China Sea, both are likely to get involved - whether they like it or not.

I vote Australia. I may be biased as an Australian ex-serviceman, but with South China Sea looking warmer and warmer, I feel it would be a great conflict to game. There's not a massive variety in RAN ship classes either, so it's not like it would take months to fill out the range.

Canada, WE NEED OUR MODERN SHIPS!!!

How about some non-military stuff to fight over like container ships, cargo ships, or tankers? I don't know if fishing boats / trawlers / pirate vessels would work well at this scale, but oil platforms would make good targets.

South Korea for PLAN or even Japanese scenarios.

Agree totally!

Australia and ROK definitely.

Aussie's and ROK make sense - and it would only take a couple years of releases to get all the major units released

How about something like 'former Commonwealth nations?' This would allow inclusion of Australia, Canada, India and Pakistan.

They are former members of the British Empire but current members of the Commonwealth.

Thank you. I was, of course, thinking British Commonwealth. As far as the Commonwealth I did not realize it was that large. I try not to be too parochial. Too many in the US do not realize there is an outside world. I try not to be one.

It is one of the things I appreciate about this forum. There is a strong international membership and we have many current and former service members to remind us.
