Well, I finally got around to counting up all (at least i think so) my WW2 infantry elements:
Image

A bit of explanation:
1/2 Grp = 3-5 men
Grp = 6-8 men
Full Grp = 9-14 men

Posted links to these earlier, but I've now worked out how to make the images show up.

What rules are you using? I am on the lookout for suitable rules since getting back into gaming a couple years back. Thank you.

They're an ever-evolving set of club rules - which isn't much use to you unfortunately. They're at the 1 model = 1 tank / 1 infantry squad scale. I have in the past also played the Firefly and Combined Arms rule sets (both by Tabletop Games in the UK and out of print as far as I know).

We also now play the Battlefront WW2 rules by Fire and Fury Games.
Thank you.
No problem, not sure how much help I was though.

Love the infantry and those bases. Is it me or are those helmet's really large? I know I ask myself every time I see mine.

Thanks chaps.

They're Adler figures - which I think are fairly (im)famous for having large heads. I quite like it as IMHO it makes them stand out on the table.

That is exactly the scale I am looking at. I prefer infantry centric rules but with extra detail in the armour section. After all 99% of troops are infantry but we call it MICRO ARMOUR not MICRO INFANTRY!

The bases BTW are done as follows:

1. Glue figures to card base.
2. Apply filler to blend in with figure bases.
3. Apply diluted PVA glue and sprinkle with sand.
4. Paint with Humbrol 80 (Grass Green).
5. Wash with Games Workshop Nuln Oil.
6. Dry Brush Humbrol 80 and other light greens. In irregular patches not all over.
7. Dry brush with Humbrol 94 (Brown Yellow).
8. Add clumps of Woodland Scenics Light Green Coarse Turf (soaked in diluted PVA).
9. Matt Varnish.

Wow! Doesn't seem that complicated when I'm doing it.

Good looking infantry!! The Adler heads seem to throw me but in fairness I don’t own any and have not seen in person. Helmets must be easy to paint!!

I agree that there is some really good looking infantry here. My new project is a regiments worth of Italian infantry in their European uniforms. Just received the Lifecolor paint and I will have to do some mixing. Still too green. I'll post the final results here. Love the infantry pics!

Here are some pictures of my WWII American infantry for NW Europe. I base these to be used with the Mein Panzer rules but they can probably be used for several rules sets that are similar.

For my squad sized elements, I base 4 figures to a 3/4"x3/4" base. For teams or HQ elements, I usually base 2 or 3 figures to a 1/2"x1/2" base or sometimes 1/2"x3/4" for prone figures. For AT guns, I base according to the size of the gun.
