Who’s hunting for older m60 tanks?

Post by nashorn88 »

you would think I would remember since he’s always talking about needing more and more of those M 60 tanks.
Think I saw some on eBay the older casting.

I used used several different search parameters to no avail. Thank you for keeping an eye out for me and letting me know.

Unfortunately, no. But I'll keep trying. Meanwhike, I am clipping the cupolas off M48A5s and replacing them with M60A1 cupolas and sacrificing my old-sculpt, early M60A1 battalion to provide the hulls. I will soon replace that battalion with the new-sculpt A1s, which are better, anyway. The M48A5 turret is not the same as the M60 turret, but it is close. If I can find the old N15 version, I will be happier.

Do you need any more cupolas PG? You get 8 cupolas in every pack of 5 tanks so I have a bunch of cupola sprus laying around. I was trying to figure out what I could do with them.

Be happy to take 'em off your hands. Tell me how much you want for 'em and I'll send you a money order, then send me the cupolas.

Hey PG, these aren't the older M60 tanks you're looking for are they?

I found these in a box and at first I thought they were CinC because they had the fat post & hole whereas the newer M60s have the tiny post & hole on the turret. When I flipped them over some of the hulls just have the 'C' stamp, but one of them has 'GHQ' on the bottom as well.

Those are definitely GHQ produced M60A1.

Those are A1s. I am looking for the earlier, first model M60. GHQ hasn't made it fir some time.

I will try to post a pic.

Thank you for responding.

This may be pointing out the obvious but has anyone confirmed with GHQ that that mold has been destroyed? Maybe it has just been shelved because they feel the mold is too inferior for them to expect any sales? You would be asking for them to run a production cycle with the whole mold being produced rather than just a bitz order. If they still have it they might be able to just charge you the normal pack price that way. Go them one better and tell them to not even seal them in a blister pack but just put them in ziplock bags instead.

My $0.02.

I actually had wondered about that, and with the reinforcement of your suggestion, I will call them this week to see what they say. I''ll let you know the result.

Thank you.
