Well, my recent black Friday purchase includes two Arleigh Burke-class destroyer to escort my LHD Wasp. My question today is what color do people use to paint the vessel hull and what darker color do you use for the flight deck? I will be using Flight Deck Decals, when I order them, so keep that in mind for the flight deck color.

I use Testor's Model Masters color Dark Gull Gray for my ships, but it's not quite correct. I need to find a new color in the Tamiya line for the gray. For the flight deck I use Tamiya - I'll get the name tonight when I get home.

Haze gray is USN 5-H or FS-36270. Not sure about the flight deck anti-skid coating color. I am in WW-II Pacific Fleet and deck blue. Modern would be a lot easier!

For the flight deck I use Tamiya German Gray XF-63

I use Vallejo Light grey 70.990 for hulls, Neutral Grey 70.992 for decks, light sea grey 70.973 for attack aircraft, sky grey 70.989 for helos/hawkeys and dark sea grey 70.991 for F35's and B-1s/B52s. The range of shades are very slight but look great in this scale.
