I think they are miscast, as well. The mold was not set together properly. If you call GHQ, they will probably fix it.

Definitely unacceptable. And, as Panzergater says, GHQ will make it right. But ... it SHOULDN'T HAPPEN in the first place. And those castings should never have left the casting room. When you pay for quality stuff, that is what you should get. Quality assurance seems spotty with GHQ. I really wish they would put more effort in this area.

nashorn88,

I have had the same problem. I have two Strykers with holes in the sculpt. I have a Bradley with a hole in the sculpt from a while ago. So I called them and no response to the email. I have found them more than generous in fixing sculpt errors.. but recently I have been getting dead silence. The last batch of stuff I got had some pretty bad mold lines.. but for M1A1s and M1A2s.. it seems pretty standard.. either someone is not getting the mold lined up or just from being old it is what it is. So I shave it down with an exacto nife as best i can.. However, I got a batch of PZIV with side skirts and there is hole blown through the side skirt. Most will clean up pretty good because they are just ruff. However one is so bad that it has a notch taken out of it.

So I think I am going to move up to a phone call, here soon.

They may be just really busy keeping up with the sale.

Was thinking about another order but I’ll hold off.
Gee... I have 20+ packs to check and hope I don’t find problems with those casting.

I had a similar problem with a Micronauts kit of British WW2 merchant aircraft carrier that the kit was missing the bridge structure.

I've emailed them several times with my forwarding address and received nothing in return.

I emailed them during the previous sales, which would have allowed plenty of time to respond. I was even hoping they could include it with my new order, since I gave them my order number. When the order arrived...no replacement part.

I've been a customer for years and never had this problem until just recently.

Still have an incomplete kit that can't be finished. I'm not ordering anything new from them until they get me the missing part.

Sadly their QC is slipping.

Apparently the end of the mold didn't seal... Look at the hulls on these M60s:

These were all in the same blister, except the good one. These should've been relegated to the melt 'em down and try again pile.

This what they should look like:

This is getting to be concerning.

My last batch of M60s had some mild mold issues. My recent purchase of M1A1s had some decent mold lines.. I chalked the latter to the fact that the mold is old at this point. However, the PZIV Hs with side skirts had Torn up side skirts. See below.

This one is a little better and can be fixed easy enough.

In addition, I have two Strykers that there are holes where the metal was too thin. Need to make a phone call, but I keep putting it off. I think there quality inspection might be slipping. Still great products though.

O an yes, its all fun and games till someone messes with the M60s.

Yeah, I'd call about those for sure. Two years ago I'd ordered S300s and one pack had four front cabs instead of two front and two rear. I emailed several times to no response but didn't worry as I wanted a command truck and radar truck anyway and converted them myself. This is worrying if QC is dropping so much. I'll still put in an order but will be checking the contents very carefully.

I will be giving them a call next week to address it. In the past, a simple email would work and they have been most generous in there response. However, sadly, the email route has not worked. I have some odd bits I want to order so maybe that will motivate them to correct things when I put the order in for that. I still order from them, I just open every pack once i get them, now. LOL.
