Question re: ASuMs

I watched this video and I am wondering how realistic it is.

Regarding the first minute of the video, does the speed of ASuMs coupled with their shape actually create a layer of plasma around them?

More importantly, does this degrade radars' abilities to lock on to incoming missiles?

Just wondering what people think about this.
