White uniform painting question
If any of you have painted winter German uniforms do you just prime white or is there more to do?

Re: White uniform painting question
Basic rule - don't paint them true white...
It'll look terrible. Go with an off-white or "insignia white" and then some light shading.

Cabin - You might also consider using a light gray as your base color, then highlight with white. Some parts of the uniform can be dirtied up a bit, if you want to go that far. Winter and snow can get messy and muddy after a while, especially if you are tromping about on roads, in trenches and dugouts.

Re: White uniform painting question
Agree. I usually start with dark grey and highlight up to white. Tough on little infantry but looks good.
