That's great work Nash! What kind of an airbrush are you using?nashorn88 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 5:15 amhttps://www.amazon.com/photos/shared/74 ... Rogjzznml3
Someone said they don’t really look good using a airbrush.
Well.... here how they look shade and high light.
You kinda need it to blend of paint together.
Of course I have so many I won’t be able to do that
To most.

I started with a Tamiya airbrush($125) but found this cheap eBay one works great. Each cost about $15. Sometime you can find a seller that has a 2 pack for $22.regia-marina wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 8:08 amThat's great work Nash! For me it’s the Tamiya brand paints that does all the magic.
Thins with rubbing alcohol and very fine pigments.

Thanks Nash! That helps. Getting some paints to right consistency, especially acrylics, has been a struggle.

Interesting so the cheap ones work fine?? I’ve always thought about an airbrush but between expense and effort I shied away.
Love the Hummel? The range sticks on the back are such a cool detail, that’s the stuff that makes your minis pop.

I use a Passche H single action airbrush, I’ve had it for years. I don’t remember the cost of the airbrush and the compressor, but it wasn’t a major investment. I don’t use it on minis, I brush paint those. I use it on plastic models only, but it’s paid for itself a million times over.

I like it, I feel like at this scale, less is certainly more.

Very nice work on the Panzer Gray Panzers, Nashorn. Yours look about the right shade for this scale. I have painted some Panzer Gray German vehicles before so I know about trying to get them to look right. It is easy to go too dark but you don't want to go too light or else they will look washed out. The trick is to find the right balance and you have definitely done so here.
