Greetings GHQ Forum Users. I have taken on the moderator role to work on keeping the SPAM posts under control. Deleted a bunch of them yesterday.

Thank you, Mr. Nichols, for volunteering. I think we have all had the opportunity to see how important your role is. I appreciate your willingness, time, and effort.

Of course, now, the spammers appear to be asking questions on how to post their spam (spam, spam, spam...etc...).

It's daily.

Any time I come to this forum there are at least 30 guests in addition to any actual members. I'm sure that vast majority are web crawlers.

GHQ is going to have to beef up their account creation process.

I wish we could spam the spammers with stuff they don't care about, like a full text of War and Peace or The Iliad, or every episode of Victory at Sea. This is one of three reasons it took me sooo long to decide to make an account and share my work.

There seems to be more of an uptick. The least they could do is spam with stuff that is interesting.

I'm logging in daily to clear out the SPAM.

I have to wonder if spamming a forum is really a valid and useful marketing tool.

How many people see a SPAM post for an online casino and think..."Hmm, seems legit. I think I will click on the link and give them my credit card."

The scum have done that several times...

The basic issue is that most of the people (or bots) doing this are far too stupid to figure out that this isn't a forum for advertising junk, and that most people here are -little bit- more smarter than your average bear.

I looked at the name and for a second I thought it said Invisi-slacks. I was going to order a couple pairs!
