GHQ and Moderators - During the time of this site's recent kerfluffle the thread "Galerie de la Begemot" was taken down. If this thread has not actually been erased or deleted, is it possible to bring it back to life and would you be able to so? Please advise. I would like to be spared the effort of rebuilding this thread.
Thanks.

Must have been "Fireball" related... I guess. It does appear to be completely gone.
Shame - lots of good stuff posted in that thread.

GHQ and Moderators - Any chance of restoring the missing thread "Galerie de la Begemot"? A response would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I would suggest a PM addressed to GHQ or a phone call. Be a little more direct for faster action.

Unfortunately it looks like once a topic is deleted, it is gone. If anyone has some insight into how to bring back a topic that has been deleted, we would love to hear how to do it. The person who had offered to remove SPAM intentionally created a bit of havoc when he decided to get out of the hobby again. We have been able to restore some things.
Thanks for your patience with this situation!

GHQ - Thank you for replying. Too bad the damage can't be undone. I will create a new thread. Again, thanks.

Begemot, I hope you will be able to restore some of your thread. I particularly enjoyed your MERDC vehicles.

So what changed from the new web based forum from the old? The infiltration of spammers is excessive

Especially Russians! I have a theory...
It's a practical joke they play on newbies in Russian military intelligence, cyber division.

"Feerst day on job? Good, here is address of forum top secret American General Headquarters. They talk of all kinds tank things. Many nations being discussed only in Code Names, we believe this Chrisdom eez Poland. Maybe eez Denmark. Your Mission is to infiltrate and learn things."
Then they giggle until the Newby figures out it's just wargaming hobbyists.
Maybe if we strung a few along...

Ben, wish you had not let them know we are on to them.

And the Vietnamese spammers seem to have taken a serious liking to the N-Scale forum. The only notable activity over there is spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam....spammity spam, wonderful spam...
