The Langley looks excellent, Bill! You have done an excellent job with the shading and highlighting on that one.

Thanks a lot Pete! I really wanted the tangle of girders to stand out.

You have managed to do that quite well. Having painted some American ships with cage masts, I understand the challenge of making the various things stand out yet look like it is not a solid structure at the same time.

Re: Bills stuff
Great work Bill. I am going to make my first attempt with some modern ships, hope the turn out half as good.

Thanks a lot Pete, thanks Hoth. Washes and dry brushing make all the difference in picking out the detail on these ships. I’m starting the Long Island now, it has a lot of girder work under the flight deck as well, but it will be a lot more heavily weathered, pictures of the ship pre war show the paint was pretty disheveled.

Bill! You are the micro maestro! Fantastic work!
Where can I see your plastic model work? DO you post to other modeling sites or groups?

Thanks a lot Red.
I don’t post anywhere else. I can through a few pictures on here if I have some on my SD card, I don’t even really take too many pictures of them, if anyone is interested, not exactly minis.

Re: Bills stuff
The latest stand of Federal infantry.
And that completes Alexander Webb's second brigade, second division, Second Corps.
The minis this time are a mix of GHQ, Cracker Line, and Pendraken.
What I don't understand, I sprayed the minis with the exact same dull coat that I sprayed my last model airplane with, the airplane is dull as can be, but the minis still seem to have shine, I give up.
This Buffalo is airbrushed with the same batch of Mr Color flat clear as the minis.

That is some great looking stuff as always, Bill! What brand is that little 6 gun sloop? You did a really fine job on that one.

Re: Bills stuff
Thanks a lot Pete! The sloop is part of the core set of Oak and Iron from Firelock Games. That game ties in to Blood and Plunder, which I’ve never looked into, or played, but looks pretty also. All age of piracy stuff. The next ship I’m going to paint is a fluyt.

Re: Bills stuff
That ship looks fantastic Bill! That's a cool base too - is it specifically for that game? I assume the lines on it are for game mechsnics?

Re: Bills stuff
Thanks a lot Red. The base is specific for the game, the lines are for determining broadsides, wind gauge and measuring movement.
