1/2400 GHQ - naval AAR's

Post by acctingman69 »

Are there any video AAR's out there on the net showing the 1/2400 ships? I have a 10x6 table and I want to see what this scale looks like on a similar sized table.

Thanks

We generally play on a larger table size (either 9'x12' at the monthly Trumpeter Tabletop Games Society game night, or 7'x12' on the other Friday nights of the month). However we did fight some battles using a friend's 6'x10' table. We use rules which have a 1:12000 ground scale, so 1 nm = 6 inches. That size is a little small, and you need to arrange battles which the sides entering along the ends of the table to give a reasonable opportunity to maneuver before getting into combat range. The photos show one battle on that table, using some pretty powerful ships (Yamatos, Iowas, a Montana, etc.) We don't use the GHQ naval rules, but a locally developed set called Supremacy at Sea.
