Tell me about it! I’ve been working on 2nd Armored and Das Reich for a while now, and have yet to paint a tank, except the ones on the Dragon Wagons.

Except in Naval Aviation when supply takes too long, so you rob the super broken airplane to fix the mildly broken airplane, lol.

Up next on the painting table:

Battery 2 of the 2S1 battalion, and, because I cannot do math and thought 3 x 6 = 24, I bought extra guns. So a firing battery for my generic Team Yankee forces. Also some sciFi stuff.

3 x 6 = 18
3 x 8 = 24
4 x 6 = 24
So you have options.

My TO&E calls for 6 tubes per battery. Somehow I ordered 5 packs instead of 4. Oh well, more tubes for my plain jane All green Heroes of teh Motherland!

I can’t imagine the troops on the ground would ever whinge about too many tubes! 😉

Maybe that extra battery can be part of your next Motor Rifle Regiment?

Mark, smart looking Brigade. The cards are a nice idea, may have to tag that one.
I hear you on the odd piece left over. I have an odd single 2S1 looking at me (not even a GHQ).
I am now filling out my K9 155mm units but every time I look at that poor lonely 2S1 I thing I should get another 5.
But then I would need another 6 to go with it etc etc.

For my gaming collection I don't build higher echehlon units, just platoons and batteries. So having odds and ends left over can come in handy. For example if TO&E says a unit has 8 tanks, I might have 20 of them. I can make two full strength or three under strength units. So a left over 2S1 might might find a home in that way...
