K-136 Question

While I am not really into modeling South Korean units , I am very interested in the new K-136 MLRS . More specifically, I am interested in the truck/ chassis for
It . If anyone has purchased a pack, I have a couple of questions …..
1) Since it has an air cleaner on the right side of the front nose , is it truly the South Korean version of the M-800 series or just an M-35 that happens to have an air cleaner ?
2) Would the model be easy to kitbash for the M-800 series vehicles like the wrecker, dump truck, tractor , and maybe even the Roland missile carrier/launcher that the New Mexico Guard had for a brief time in the mid/late 80s .
Any thoughts or feedback?

I don't have a set but the photo of the unassembled kit shows the body as a cab and a blank flatbed on to which the launcher is glued. I'd think it was pretty ideal for kit bashing.

I don't have the model, but the real thing uses a Korean version of the M809 5ton truck, although it may now be mounted on an M900 series. M35 is a 2 1/2t truck.
Looking at the GHQ model, it's an M800 series 5t. The front fender shape is a quik, easy clue.

Hey Panzergator
It looked like an M35 with an air cleaner on the website photos. Maybe that’s just a distortion in the photos . From the many many years I’ve been around them, there’s a big difference between a deuce and half and a five ton .

I think it's the shape of the hardtop roof on the cab that throws off the appearance. But the front fenders are longer, resulting in a longer wheel well that marks it as a 5t M800 series. Really wish GHQwould make the M800 series with a removeable canvas. I have an stl file for it, but I hacen't printed it yet, so don't know how it will come out.

I would love it if they would make an M 800 or even an M54 5 ton truck .

GHQ captured the real vehicle quite well, I think.

Yes, I spent quite a few years around 'em myself, especially two years as a tank battalion BMO in the late 70s.
I would be very happy with either the M54 or M800 series 5ton. Considering their lengthy service, they were better candidates than the 900 series.

After looking at t, the proportions seem a little off, which may lead us to mispercieve which it is.
