Good to see the USNS Shugart mini get some printing time. The USNS Bob Hope might be jealous. ;-)

There are most definitely some Bob Hopes and some Watsons in my future! Not sure what fun they will be on the table, but they will give the ROD greater sealift capability and they will fill out at least one MPSRON.

Estoniadom just picked up some used equipment.
Refurbishment of a company of M1A1-HA is being worked on. Finished a company of M-2 Bradleys recently. Just in the event EE gets a bit more frosty.

The Naval Build up begins in the Pacific Northwest Region. The RPNW Fleet has just been increased to the following ships.

2 LHD Wasp class
2 LSD Whidbey Island Class
2 LPD New York Class
4 DDG Arleigh Burke Flight IIA Class ships.
1 T-AKE-1 Lewis and Clark Class
1 LCC Blue Ridge Class

This Building program is to ensure stability in the region and increase the RPNWs stance in the global community.

Thanks Chris. The RPNW has plans to add one more Wasp and then add 3 America class. The wasps will primarily be for marine expeditionary force and limited air oops. The America will be used as primary air ops with limited amphibious abilities. New ship yards are being established in the pudget sound region and near the mouth of the Columbia river.

There has been a change in the RCNs list of ships for their fleet modernization program.

5 of the planned ships (Nunavut, NWT, Yukon, Newfoundland, Labador.) will become Belknap class Light cruisers.

HMCS Sir Issac Brock, HMCS Tecumseh, and a new ship HMCS Sir Gordon Drummond will become Spruance Class DDGs.

In order to keep pace with the evolving maritime environment.
The Karma Navy today confirmed that it will retire it's 3 FFG Knox class and 3 DDG Iroquois class at years end.

Another big change for the RCN is prioritizing CVs and Carrier aircraft deployment based on the scale of a military operation.

The idea behind it is to conserve man and Naval Aviation material based on the size and scope of any future RCN operations.

If the Operation is of a smaller scale, a CVL will be deployed to deal with this operation along with at least one or two squadrons of aircraft.
If the Operation is of a Larger scale (Ie the Black Sea War) its only then that our Supercarrier HMCS Canada will be deployed with a full wing.

Interesting news out of Karma. The ROD wants to know what is going to replace those retiring ships? Newer more deadly ships? Something diabolical?

Will those Old KDF ships be put up for sale? As the RCN is in need of Guided missile ships in order to modernize our fleet.

The Karma Navy is confident with the updates applied to the 12 x Halifax class now in service.
Three newer DohBart class AWD (based on a Navanti design built in Karmanaskis) still have a few teething problems but are now all in the water.
With this and the much younger coastal fleet just about at full strength, the Navy is able to meet current requirements.

The Future Surface Combatant Program is well under way, with the brand new construction facility almost complete.
This FSC program is fully funded for 15 of the class.

Mech said " Will those Old KDF ships be put up for sale"?

No decision has yet been taken on the disposal of the old ships.

The NCAF would like to introduce, our first successful Electronic Warfare aircraft, the CEF-101 Electric Voodoo, she will become active with the No 414 squadron of 3 Wing Bagotville. providing the NCAF with the much needed counter against Electronic Warfare.
