I base all of my miniatures on steel, and store them in magnet lined boxes. This is plenty strong for your average trip to and from the game club. So my micro armor and most of my 15s are going as is. Some though is getting a second layer of protection. I simply shred old files and fill the bix, snugly, with the shreds.
I did some tests with a box of unpainted Napoleonics (cavalrymen, guns, flags etc. can be fragile). As long as the paper is snug nothing moves at all even with some very serious shaking and tossing.
Anyone here from New Jersey?
