Best glue for plastic packaging / mixed media?

Post by Extra Crispy »

I want to build a terrain piece out of various bits of plastic packaging. Yogurt cups and the like. They will be various plastics. What's your go to adhesive for a project like this?

Medium CA would probably be your best bet.

I've been using Gorilla Glue a lot lately and it seems to work on just about everything. I like this one because it has a brush to apply the glue.

My current attempt is as follows: sand the MDF base as well as the plastic packaging to give some tooth to the surfaces. Apply Goop brand cement and leave to dry for 24 hours. Then a bead of epoxy around the edge.

I figure if it isn't abused it should all hold upu nder normal handling.
