Stone wall test pieces. The first samples I did at 50% were too big. These are at 35% and just what I wanted. They are 7mm tall. The set comes with a gate, a straight, a T , an L and two curves. Tonight I'll print a really big batch of "straights."

I'll sand the ends so they join up flush. At some point I'd like to design my own and make some long straight pieces....

By the way....

At my local rates, running my printer for 12 hours probably cost me about $4.40. So tonight a big batch of these will probably take 6 hours for 50 straight pieces of so. Add in the cost of the filament and you're looking at a cost of maybe a dime per section....

So, following up...I have a gas station, bit of scatter terrain (dumpsters and oil cans), and enclosed field.

The temptation to print faster than you paint is dang powerful, be warned.

Hey Mark, can you share where you got that stl file for the wall?

Anyone using BOTH filament and resin printers? Anyone switch from to the other - if so why?

The walls are from Cromarty Forge and are designed for 10mm but scale up to 15 and down to 6 nicely.

I use a resin printer (an elegoo Mars 3) and it's simply a myth that you can't print models at GHQ standard now. They are certainly more fragile than metal but, for example, I can print 50 Slat Armoured D9 Bulldozers for under $3 in less than 2 hours. If I could find a way to post a picture on this site, you'd see what I mean!

This is why I would like GHQ to start selling 3D files - No expensive metal, no customs charges, no ridiculous postage fees. GHQ's value is in their designing, not the production.
