Move Completed! Time to play!

Post by Extra Crispy »

Just moved back to Illinois from New Jersey. After a long delay the truck arrived, and things are stowed. Bonus: the new house has a TON of built in shelves in the basement! Here are the troops in their new bivouac:

Best get those shelves cleared, because that's the perfect storage space for all your microarmour :D

All micro armor? Not even close. I'd say only 5% of my collection is micro armor....that is 6mm and 15mm various periods, plus a few odd balls thrown in (Lord of the Rings, 1/2400 naval. 1/6000 naval)

That shelf space is a drop in the bucket. For a few years we're enjoying the McMansion life. There's a matching set of shelves on the other side of the furnaces....that's where my rulebook collection lives now.

I wish I had that much space. Part of the reason for micro many years back was the size. Before in the 70s we did 1/72 roco and played on the floors. Roco back then we like $1.

I remember Roco back in the 70's. My freind and I took over his brothers unused model train table 5' x 9' put some borders around it and filled it with sand. This sand table was a great battleground for Roco Mini-Tanks which were about 49 cents each. not much variety, but still filled the void, threw in some Airfix models also. Great times back then, brings back memories.Never lost the 'bug' for WW2 tank gaming and Micro Armor is my main interest.

I never collected HO scale, but my father has been a life long model railroader and I did acquire a pack of WW2 German mountain troops at some point. The pride and joy of my dad's layout was a tall snow-covered mountain with tunnels and tracks on it. He was never very happy when he found my Germans skiing down the mountainside!
